Just Us Girls...

{For the Want2Scrap Blog Hop, click here!}

Gettin' some sketch ON!

Heyyyyyyyyyy! How've you been? Long time no talk...

Honestly! It's been THAT long! I have NO idea how much it would call to use a pay phone...
Do they even HAVE them, anymore!?! Maybe NOT! My wee-girl's 4th grade class took a
field trip to our state capitol, yesterday... I had to EXPLAIN what a little alcove was, just across the hall from the elevator on the third floor... "A unique piece of architectural history,
from the last century. Commoners would stand in front of these little,
partitioned desks and make their important phone calls....!"

The girls in my group just stared at me - blankly. They were probably wondering
why our politicians would have FORGOTTEN their cell phones...
So there you go.

But I digress. Let's talk CARD!

The lovely and EVER-SO-DARLING Jugheads are back, and up to their old tricks!
Sweet Pammy-cakes ... uh, ur.. I mean PAM! Pam composed this LOVELY sketch
to inspire and DELIGHT you crafty, challenge-worthy folks, to GET your mojo perking!

I flopped and flipped just a tad, but WHAT fun! This little gem was QUITE inspiring!

Equally inspiring was THIS gorgeous color inspiration from the super colorful gals at
the Play Date Cafe! This palette REALLY talked to me...It said ... "Call ME!" {Hee hee}

{Isn't that a gorgeous PHOTO!}

So, I did. Called me some color and DELIGHTFUL paper... Texture and glimmer mist...
Yeah, call me... But not too early: it was a LONG week! {Lol!} Before you do, make sure
you save some quarters to call on these lovely gals.... The Just Us Girls have much to chat
about and inspire you to share a little of YOUR mother's day weekend...
IN THE CRAFTROOM!

I would venture to say you just made the first card with a QUARTER as bling! Awesome!

Hey E-stir!!! Yes if we're going to talk nicknames it goes both ways LOL. This is fantastic! You got me at "call me" - I almost picked up the phone to do just that then realized it's 5:00 am your time. BUT can we make a call for 25¢?? Who knows! The flower in your card is also made from something that is quickly becoming a legend - newsprint!! LOL We now get one newspaper - on Sunday when we used to get two daily papers. Now I get all the news on my phone. BUT I love every element on your card from the stitching to the ribbon to the textured pattern to the quarter! Great job Ms. Jughead!

Happy mama's day tomorrow.

Hello Elise,
I stumbled upon your blog and absolutely love it; being that I am a fellow card maker and scrapbooker. I love your card design with the quarter and retro phone. Your post got me thinking about a few things that the upcoming generation may not know about like: turning the TV without a remote control (LOL…get off the couch), payphones, telephone booths, clotheslines, dinner bells and washboards. Thanks for sharing!
Smiles, Paula

Call me on the line, Call me call me any anytime! As always, y phone line is open to you, my friend, but especially with a cutie pie card like this one! That telephone graphic is fantastic and I love how you made the sketch work for you.
