I only have {GOOGLE} eyes...

...for YOU!

Oh, sheesh - here I go, again!

I can't HELP it ~ Google eyes are hypnotic! AND, .... {a little confession} I love Sponge Bob!

Well, I love the way he's drawn... I love his EXPRESSIONS! Those eyes! What feelings are conveyed by a couple of well placed spots and highlights.... Oh, he's the best!

And, I love St. Patty's Day and playing with my WPLUS9design stamps by Dawn Woleslagle....!

I used this large, teardrop, plaid petal/tree image, from Dawn's Funky Flowers collection, to make this fun shamrock.... Then I paper~pieced some highlights and accent in the center of the shamrock... it just got a little lonely... SO, google-eyes happened!

Then, I had fun combining one of Dawn's sentiments with Stampin' Up's! GO GREEN, St. Patty's Day stamp, and some retired bits from S/U! and Hero Arts.... I adore a little word play... {are you shocked?} hee hee

I stole a little time this weekend to craft with some spectacular ladies and local talent, here in Sonoma County... We've got some GREAT gals in this lovely scrappin' community - I don't mean to brag, but I'm just sayin'.... {Contact ME if you're ever going to be in the area - We'd love to have you!} WHAT FUN TO SCRAP and ENJOY the company of other, hilarious and equally crazed and kind, KIND, genuine and KIND, crafters ... I just can't get over how nice paper craftin' pals are! We're good folk... we really are!

YEE HAW!

Anywhoo, lovely friends, hope you got some craft-ON this weekend! Wish you could have hung out with us - maybe next time! {*wink*wink!} Enjoy your day!

Some of my favorite TWEET-HEARTS!

I adore my people! I REALLY do.

My little, nuclear family... Darling kids, wonderful husband... They're the best!

H - O - W - E - V - E - R.... I have a confession to make. The highlight of my "Valentine's Day" festivities... didn't come from a hand drawn Valentine or in a shiny, heart-shaped box...

I know that you {HELLO, fellow paper crafters!} will understand... My FAVORITE part of the weekend was....

Spent, HERE ~ in "Claire-land!"

Look! Oh, just look at my beautiful friend, Claire, and her AMAZING new Scraproom! Her's was a L - O - N - G time coming... Claire is a patient and practical woman, but let me just say for the group "IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!" {Hee Hee!} She spent YEARS and years, while completing hundreds of L/O's, scrapping out of her totes and a small hutch... She utilized table time at local scrapbook stores, events and retreats... BUT, finally! She can scrap in her OWN gorgeous, custom scraproom, right in her own back yard, literally!

Here's another view -

Oh, goodness! Is that the super-talented Dana, from Paper Daydream!?! Why, YES! SHE was there, too! What a fabulous way to "christen" Claire's new scraproom, than to bring in some favorite scrappin' buds, a BUNCH of totes and materials and.... LAUGHTER! Perfect!

But wait, here's ANOTHER blog personality ~ We call her, Lil' Traci, but she is a BIG talent when it comes to paper-crafting! Her blog has not been the focus of her attention, in recent months, but she has such distinct personal style in her artwork {check it out, if you have some extra time ~ she really does AWESOME work!} Anyhoo, Traci is a delight and we had a FANTASTIC time, urrr, working... WORKING hard {!}, oh, so hard... in Claire's new room!

I don't know how much I should tell you about Claire's husband... [I don't know if EVERYONE gets red-carpet treatment we did... *wink*wink!*] I'll just say that HE'S a delight! We enjoyed perfectly prepared beverages and snacks compliments of Claire's DH! {Seriously, DARLING! ~ THANKS, Mr. E!}

Should I even tell you HOW WELL ORGANIZED this place is....? { A M A Z I N G ! }

Plenty of gorgeous, natural lighting!!! Claire's husband made some very thoughtful considerations in that department! {His carpentry skills are unbelievable!} It's a very well planned space!

Just a few more details to drool over and then I'll stop....

For some reason, it was so easy to UNLOCK the creativity in this fine space.... hmmmmm.... {!}

And, finally, a lil' tidbit of crafty fun I made while in the company of these mighty talented scrap-babes!

How funny that THESE DAYS, it's not so much the amount or quality of the finished product, as the friends who grace the memories behind the the finished piece... {In other words... WE HAD FUN!!! And that's the BEST part of getting together to craft!}

I sure hope YOU had a fantastic Valentine's day, too! You're some of my favorite TWEET-HEARTS, after all!

Who's your B U D D Y ?

Who's your pal?

"I" am!

Aside from that whole VALENTINE'S thing, I think that February is an excellent time to celebrate friends! As goes the inspiration for this fabulous card and the DARLING owl image, brought to you, courtesy of my talented friend, Dawn and her WPLUS9 stamp line!

Isn't that the MOST darling owl!?! I love the boldness of the art and those EYES! Those fabulous owl eyes.... I'm thinking of TONS of ways to play with this lil' guy and he's just one tiny piece of the "Funky Flowers" collection that Dawn will be unveiling soon!

I decided to play with this fun sketch from the gals at Get Sketchy!

{Such a GREAT sketch!}

I had to play.... So eyes were embellished, WORM was made for companionship.... I altered some sentiments to create the word "your".... But mostly, stamping, beautiful paper and thoughts of DEAR FRIENDS {this means y'all!} and Dawn's crafty design vision and WhaBAM! Card making bliss!

I had a lil' fun with the inside of the card, too....

So, REMEMBER that!

"I" am your friend!

Have a delightful day!

Hello, lovey-dovey!

Yesssssss!

I'm over-flowing with love! Valentine's Day is looming and my heart is full... of CRAFTINESS! I'm swooning with joy and having a wonderful time playing with some fantastic new stamp sets from the super craftilicious design-babe, Dawn Woleslagle! She was kind enough to send out the first, four stamp sets, of her new release, for WPLUS9designstudio, LLC.... {Wahooo, Dawn!} The perks of the DT position abound! Soon, you, too can enjoy the perks ~ her gorgeous stamps available for purchase! Her website is nearly ready and open for business - visit her site for THAT!

Anywhoo, I've been concentrating on an adorable set, called "Love Birds"...

I made these mini gift cards, in celebration of the terrific sentiments and an obvious, seasonal, love of the colors pink pirouette, rich razzleberry, melon mambo, etc....

It's an easy fit, my heart, these stamps, this holiday and me! {Got sweet hearts, anyone?}

I'm a sucker for a circular sentiment and I adore "{heart} you tons", PLUS, there was enough space around the center of the circle for me to make it into a heart for the card, below!

I had a lot of fun with the clear "advantage" of these polymer stamps... I had a blast with some background inking and the highlighting of the word, Birdie in this terrific "Some Birdie Loves You!" sentiment... Of course, I had to get personal with the lil' bird and wipe away the ink from his tummy to give it a downy feel! Hee HEEEEEEEEEEE! {I'm such a trouble maker!} But isn't that what is SUCH fun about stamping - we can alter and interpret or just celebrate an image straight "out of the box!" Oh, the possibility!

I really love the fonts Dawn used in this set... They are classic, yet bold, but easy to read! Not to mention, extremely inkable! I was delighted to note how happily these babies accepted the ink and stamped super cleanly! It's been a tough conversion for me to polymer {I was a rotten sport when I used my first clear stamp way back when!} but I think there's been a lot of improvement and Dawn has used a real high quality material and it shows! Yeah, evolution that benefits STAMPERS! That's cool!

So, THAT WAS FUN! I'm delighted and proud to be included in Dawn's fantastic new enterprise! I hope you'll take some time to check out her AMAZING samples with all of the sets, thus far, but also, please visit Maile, Savitri and Kerrianne! They have been up to all kinds of fabulousness with these babies, so, by all means - go be inspired!

Meanwhile, I'm fixin' to be inspired by you all! While husband's enthralled in some Superbowl, I plan to get some serious BLOG-TIME in {"Wha? Honey, of course I saw that play!" type*type*type! Hee Hee} Oh, c'mon! I like football, but SERIOUSLY, been there DONE that! These days some "SUPER-BLOG" sounds a bit more fun for the old "E-stir!" Heh Heh!

See you soon!

But, I said I LIKE you!

Haaaaaayyyyy!

Sorry, but I couldn't resist ONE more card in celebration of the colors of NEW Scrapland! Can you find it in your heart to accept one more!?! Look at "Trigger!" I just couldn't ignore him... He looks so insistent. Impatiently waiting... for someone to notice, his loyalty... His flawlessly festooned presentation... Look at that breast collar! I can just "hear" him! "Haaaayyyyyyy!"

Then, there was THIS sketch from Get Sketchy!

I flipped it on its side, so that I could really celebrate the wonderfulness of this Trigger image from this fantastic piece off fabric by Robert Kaufman...

Of course, I had to play with the word, "hey"... but you're probably ready for something other than "YEE HAW!" {hee hee} No, I've not calmed down about the completion of "New Scrapland!" but I'm more convinced than ever that I need to have you all over for a big scrapping hoe-down! I'm so delighted by all of the fun and funny feedback from my lil' REVEAL.... Thanks again, for your kind attention and thoughtfulness... I promise to leave these glorious colors for a while... Sweet and talented Dawn from WPLUS9 design studio has begun to share some samples from her new stamp line, and I am eager to begin to celebrate the images she has created as well. I hope you'll go check out her sensational samples and give her some love... It's such an exciting time in the blogosphere ~ 2010 has so much promise for us all, and I'm so honored to be sharing this journey with you!

Weird to put my hands to paper, ink and glue.... BUT WONDERFUL, no doubt! My first card after the official completion of New SCRAPLAND! Made me feel like this ~

Yee Haw!

Just a scrap of this delicious fabric, left over from my chicken wire/vintage cowboy print display project... Could NOT let it go to waste! And when I saw this delightful little sketch from Card Patterns... well, what's a good cowgirl to do?
